Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of PrepApex (the “Service”), operated by PrepApex (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must review these Terms with you and agree to them on your behalf. Accounts for users under 13 may only be created and managed by a parent or guardian.

2. Your account

Keep your password private and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Free and paid plans

The Free plan includes a diagnostic and a limited number of practice questions per day. PrepApex Pro is a paid subscription billed monthly or every six months, in advance, until cancelled. Prices are shown at checkout and may change with notice; changes apply from your next renewal.

Parent Insights is a paid plan that gives a parent or guardian a read-only view of a linked student's progress and a weekly progress email, and gives the linked student Pro access for as long as the parent's plan is active. Founding pricing, where shown, continues for as long as the subscription stays active without lapsing.

4. Billing, renewal, and cancellation

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time from your billing page. Cancellation stops future charges; your access continues until the end of the period already paid.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number.
• If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend Pro features until payment succeeds.

5. Refunds

If you are not satisfied, email hello@prepapex.com within 7 days of your first Pro payment for a full refund. After that, cancellations are not refunded, but access continues to the end of the paid period. We may also issue refunds at our discretion where the Service was materially unavailable.

6. No score guarantee

Score estimates on PrepApex are estimates derived from your practice. They are not official scores, and we make no promise about any result on an official SAT administration. SAT is a registered trademark of the College Board, which is not affiliated with and does not endorse PrepApex.

7. Content and acceptable use

All questions, explanations, and other content are original works owned by or licensed to us. You may use them for your own study. You may not copy, scrape, redistribute, sell, or use them to train models or build a competing product, and you may not attempt to bypass usage limits or access controls.

8. Reporting errors

If a question or explanation looks wrong, use the flag button. We review every report and correct or retire affected items.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. If a change is material we will notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
